The Spain national football team, La Roja, is governed by the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) and competes in UEFA. The team plays home matches at venues across Spain and wears red.

Spain enjoyed a golden era from 2008 to 2012, winning three consecutive major tournaments: UEFA Euro 2008, the 2010 FIFA World Cup (their first), and UEFA Euro 2012. The team's tiki-taka possession style became the global template. Spain won UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany, their fourth European Championship.
