The Turkey national football team, known as the Crescent-Stars, is governed by the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) and competes in UEFA. The team plays home matches at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul and wears red and white.

Turkey's best performance came at the 2002 FIFA World Cup in South Korea and Japan, where they finished third — their only World Cup appearance where they advanced beyond the group stage. Turkey reached the semi-finals of UEFA Euro 2008 in a dramatic tournament run. The team qualified for UEFA Euro 2024 and reached the quarter-finals. Turkey has produced top players including Emre Belözoğlu, İlhan Mansız, and Hakan Çalhanoğlu.
